This beautiful Macaw is the largest of all Macaws & it has vibrantly colored plumage and long graceful tail. This type of bird has a big, tough beak and gripping toes that they use to hold onto branches and grab objects. Their typical diet involves fruits, nuts, seeds, snails, bugs, and other insects. They use their strong beaks in order to crack open hard seeds and nuts. The Scarlet Macaw makes loud, low-pitched screams and squawks, and can even mimic human speech. These colorful birds live in tropical rainforests, savannas, open woodlands, and humid regions of Mexico and the Amazon basin.
